We are featuring several of The Bank of Tioga's great employees here on the blog so that you can learn a little bit more about the faces you might see in the bank and in the community. We would first like to introduce Susan Wolla. Susan is the Operations Officer, VP at The Bank of Tioga. A Tioga native, Susan has shared with us a little bit more about herself, from what she loves about her role at the bank to time spent with her grandkids!
Tell us about yourself
I was born in Tioga and I’ve lived here all my life except when I went to Bismarck to College.
What’s your official job title?
Operations Officer, VP
What do you do every day?
I complete operational duties, help Clients with IRA’s and Certificates of Deposits. I also problem-solve to ensure clients have the best possible experience. Every day is a new day with new issues and adventures to tackle!
Do you have any big role /department goals you’d like to share?
I help build efficient employees by assisting in training to expand banking knowledge.
How did you come into this role?
I started at the Bank 32 years ago as a bookkeeper/teller and worked into the role I currently have today as Operations Officer, VP!
What is most rewarding about your job?
I enjoy helping build client relationships and helping co-workers, as well as the challenge of learning and assisting when aquiring new branches.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my Grandchildren and family and friends. My hobbies right now are my Grandchildren - I love spending time with all five of them - soon to be six!
I also like to go ATV or Jeep Riding with my husband and family in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming and like to be out in the yard in the sunshine when I get a chance.
How else have you been involved with the community?
I was involved in reopening of the Tioga Theatre and have served on the Farm Festival committee for number of years and I am currently on the Advisory Committee at the Tioga High School.
